My Life in (near) Philly...

It dawned on me earlier today - My blog is named Life in (near) Philly..., but I haven't done much talking about life in Philadelphia...or life near Philadelphia for that matter. Let's start with a 'best of' list...

Things I Like About Philadelphia:

Philly Cheesesteaks : Need I say more? They are not healthy (perhaps that is why Philadelphia was the fattest city in the US for a while?) but that's not the point. If you want the perfect cheesesteak - go to Philly, period. Pat's and Geno's are the obvious choices but let me recommend another favorite - Steve's Prince of Steaks...much less known but definitely some good food. Tony Luke's is another good option.

Philadelphia Sports : What can I say? Most people in this country absolutely despise teams like the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Flyers...but like I've said before I'm a die-hard fan. Liberty Bell : C'mon. Who else has a huge bell with a nasty crack as the symbol of their city? Bad. Ass.

People compare Philadelphia to New York all the time, but let's get real, that's comparing Big Apple's to Cheesesteaks...wow...I apologize for that...as a matter of fact I think that's my sign to call it a night.
